Vietjet Thailand’s “Free Summer” campaign now focuses on the popular northern city of Chiang Mai. The airline provides opportunities for Thai travelers to spend quality time and enjoy a relaxing break with families and loved ones by traveling to Chiang Mai City, now with prices from just 509 THB (including taxes, airport fees and surcharges).
The booking and travel period is from today – 28 Oct, 2017. Vietjet Thailand currently operates four direct daily flights between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Chiang Mai.
Under the airline’s “Free Summer, Hop freely around Chiang Mai” initiative, Vietjet Thailand has also arranged for a special activity to take place locally in Chiang Mai. The Chiang Mai Karaoke Bus has begun promoting Vietjet routes as well as Chiang Mai destinations around the province. Vietjet cabin crews take a local red bus around Chiang Mai City and pick up tourists along the route, showing them tourist attractions around Chiang Mai as well as onboard fun and singing along the way.
The Karaoke Bus route begins at Chiang Mai airport, before travelling to Kruba Sri Wichai Monument, Tha Phae Gate (an ancient site that is also home to many community events), and Pra Sing Temple. Wat Phra Singh is a Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai, associated closely with King Ananda Mahidol, the older brother of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and who bestowed on it the status of Royal Temple of the First Grade in 1935. The route then travels to Wat Chedi Luang, the famous Buddhist temple in the historic center of Chiang Mai. The current temple grounds were originally made up of three temples — Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Ho Tham and Wat Sukmin.
The route finishes at Kad Luang Market (also known as Waroros Market). Located in the heart of Chiangmai and along the Ping River, this vibrant and energetic area is an important hub for locals. An amalgam of three markets (Waroros Market, Ton Lam Yai Market and Naowarat Market), Kad Luang has been the definitive commercial center of Chiangmai for over 100 years.
