Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok has recently organised a “Power Bites Cooking Class” on 9 November 2016. The aim was to raise awareness about the importance of healthier eating habits on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, which is on 14 November.

This fun and interactive cooking class was conducted by the hotel’s executive chef, Andreas Wener, who demonstrated two healthy recipes to all of the participants. During the exciting cooking class, they learnt together how to create delicious, wholesome lunchbox snacks and dishes for children. Two new recipes, Tortilla Sleeping Bags and Snails & Butterfly Sandwiches, were created especially for this new initiative by the blogger-mom Fathima Mansoor of @TableforFiveDubai. The meals were presented in a fun, and creative way.

“Sometimes it is just easier to grab fast food for our children because it is quick and easy, but there are plenty of other healthy choices that you can be making,” said Wener. “Making these smart healthy choices every day is very important to stay well, healthy and happy!”
