Music Festival and Caravan to be held in Mae Hong Son


Mae Hong Son province is preparing for the Pai Diva Music Festival on 2-3 January 2014 to boost tourism during the New Year’s holidays.

The governor of Mae Hong Son Surapon Panas-Ampon has revealed that the province is will be hosting the ‘Pai Diva Music Festival’ at Pai View Point in Pai District, Mae Hong Son province during 2-3 January 2014. The music festival will feature many famous Thai artists.

He said that the event will be held to boost tourism in the province for the New Year’s holidays.

The Mae Hong Son governor further said that by late January, the province will hold the ‘Off-Road Caravan: The Fog Sea of the Two Lands’ to promote the province as another feature destination for adventurous tourists.

The route will pass through the Salawin National Park, then go along the Salawin River which is the Thai-Myanmar border, to the Ban Tha Ta Fang park which is home to the Karen community, and finish at the Mist Sea view point on the Tenasserim Hills.

The caravan will also carry donations to students and the people in the remote area, said the governor.
