“Business travellers nowadays want more than just an international level of facilities when they travel. They want to feel more connected with the environment and culture of the place that they’re visiting, living and working,” said Prema Irangani, General Manager of Modena by Fraser Bangkok. “Modena by Fraser also appeals to socially-conscious travellers through its provincially-sourced amenities, its prominent displays of local artwork, its fresh local produce at all-day-dining restaurants, and arranged visits to local attractions.”

Modena by Fraser Bangkok’s convenient location, at the corner of the bustling Rama IV Road directly opposite the Stock Exchange of Thailand, with links to the Queen Sirikit MRT subway station, National Convention Centre, and Benjakiti Park reflects the business ethos of Modena by Fraser, that of a perfect marriage between nature, sustainability and convenience.

“We recognise the pressures that business travellers often experience, and the psychological and emotional toil that frequent travelling can sometimes cause,” said Ms Irangani. “This is why at Modena by Fraser Bangkok, we help our guests feel at home, by offering them all that they need, from the very moment they arrive at the hotel.”

As high-speed internet is a top priority for many business travellers, complimentary access is available at Modena by Fraser Bangkok for constant connectivity. There is also a 24-hour gym, steam and sauna facilities, self-service launderette, meeting and conference facilities.

“There is a green touch throughout Modena by Fraser Bangkok. We have an onsite herb garden, and each room contains a potted plant that guests can take care of during their stay. Our restaurant also offers ‘grab-and-go’ meals that feature fresh local market produce and organic ingredients to help our guests reconnect with nature during their stay and before they leave us,” added Ms Irangani.

The interior décor of each Modena by Fraser is the perfect balance between form and function, and reflects the specific style and culture of each setting. For example, at Modena by Fraser Bangkok, inspiration from the nearby Khlong Toei market – Bangkok’s largest wet market, can be seen in artwork depicting market scenes that adorn some guest rooms’ walls. Other rooms have Thai graffiti, local fabric “patchwork”, and artwork featuring the ubiquitous Thai tuk-tuk.

The lobby of FYI Center also takes design cues from the locale, with the nearby Khlong Toei port, for example, the inspiration for its inverted container shape. The ground and second floor also feature bright yellow walls that resemble containers.

Serviced apartments’ spacious living, state-of-the-art facilities, and flexibility in length of stays, means that the growing trend for business travel in Asia shows no sign of slowing[1]. Modena by Fraser Bangkok further capitalises on the city’s strategic location in Asean, Bangkok’s steady growth as a financial centre, and the growing need to accommodate business travellers during project assignments.

Modena by Fraser Bangkok also benefits from the expertise and international footprint of Frasers Hospitality, which recently received Best Serviced Apartment Operator by Travel Trade Gazette for the fourth year in a row, and is perfectly placed to bring the stylish serviced apartment brand to Bangkok.

At Modena by Fraser Bangkok, guests can choose from a range of fully-furnished superior, deluxe rooms and studios that come complete with a spacious living area, a well-equipped kitchenette, modern workspace and comprehensive home entertainment system. Special opening rates starting from 1,900 baht per night for a Superior room is available.

There are five other Modena by Fraser properties currently operating, in Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Wuhan, and Changsha.Modena by Fraser Bangkok adds to Frasers Hospitality’s portfolio in Thailand where it currently operates the 163-unit Gold-Standard Fraser Suites Sukhumvit serviced residence in central Bangkok.
