One of Bangkok’s most popular rooftop restaurants and bars is set to shut its doors for a comprehensive makeover. L’Appart, located on the 32 floor of the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel, hosts its final event – the hotel’s annual thank-you party – on Saturday 9 June 2018 before undergoing a major transformation. Doors of this prestige rooftop space are scheduled to reopen in October 2018.

The La Nuit annual social event at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit also marks the end of an era for the hotel’s popular rooftop venue L’Appart. Major investment begins in June to transform the space, creating a new style and format that is expected to become one of Bangkok’s hottest eating and drinking establishments when it re-opens later this year.
This exclusive invitation-only La Nuit party on Saturday 9 June takes place in the setting of an abandoned warehouse with impactful décor featuring dark and black tones with white highlights.
“It will be unrecognisable as L’Appart,” explains hotel General Manager Oliver Schnatz. “This year, La Nuit is more than just an annual party. It becomes a celebration of the amazing success enjoyed by L’Appart over the past 6 years. Later this year we reopen the space with a new concept whilst retaining the quality and excellence of service enjoyed by our patrons since we opened in 2012.”
With a dress code of ‘glam white’, guests arriving at the entrance of the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel will walk across a black and white carpet leading to a designated lift that is also decorated in the La Nuit colour theme. The media wall, for photo opportunities and interviews, will be located in the hotel lobby.
