Centara Grand at CentralWorld would like to cordially invite you to ‘Pink period art exhibition’ by Jiraros Kewjaila (Mikey), Mikey’s first-ever gallery show, to be held from 15th December 2016 to 15th March 2017, 10.00 hrs. – 20.00 hrs. every day. For his first outing, he has chosen a “pink period” theme, infusing a rose-tinted flavor into his dreamlike, sometimes nightmarish, vision of a haunted world.
The proceeds from this show will be divided between Mikey’s education fund and Opera Siam’s DasJati Project, administered by the Bangkok Opera Foundation, which has dedicated the project to the memory of HM King Rama IX.
Michael Jiraros, 19 years of age, comes from the North. He has had a dramatic childhood, and had ended up orphaned and alone in the capital city when his work came to attention of Somtow Sucharitkul who brought him to live in his home. He works out of a private studio in Somtow’s house and is collecting funds in order to continue his studies, hopefully at Egon Schiele’s alma mater, the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria.
