The Living Room is thrilled to welcome to the stage the incredible Lucia Ianniello and Paolo Tombolesi Duo from Italy.

For one night only on Friday June 22, the incredible Lucia Ianniello and Paolo Tombolesi Duo will delight the audience with their virtuoso musicianship in the intimate setting of The Living Room. Dedicated to the women composers of Italian jazz, their unforgettable performance will also pay special tribute to the historical composer, harpsichordist and soprano, Francesca Caccini, and composer and soprano, Barbara Strozzi.

Lucia Ianniello and Paolo Tombolesi have been playing together for many years, both as a duo and in larger ensembles. In the last two years, they have also recorded two CDs, “Maintenant” and “Live at Acuto Jazz”.

Trumpeter, Lucia is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music in Frosinone, Italy. She loves to melt her jazz musical experiences with other expressive areas in multidisciplinary projects, preferring open forms, free improvisations and experimentation. Lucia has performed throughout Italy, collaborating with large ensembles conducted by Eugenio Colombo, Greg Burk and Roberto Spadoni.

Pianist, Paolo also studied jazz at the Conservatory of Music in Frosinone, where he now teaches Music Improvisation. Since 1996, he has been the Artistic Director of the Acuto Jazz Festival. Paolo has recorded with outstanding musicians such as Dusco Gojkovich, Gianni Basso, Jens Søndergaard, Steve Grossman and John Mosca, and played with Alvin Batiste, Scott Reeves, Terrell Porter, Jay Rodriguez, Charles Davis, and many more.
