Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant is excited to announce the return of France’s official cheese ambassador, Gerard Poulard, for a series of exclusive events from Friday 2nd to Tuesday 6th March.
The chic rooftop venue invites cheese-lover to take a culinary journey through France with wine and cheese tasting sessions with the acclaimed French Fromage Master. Gerard Poulard will be presenting a carefully curated collection of Fromages de France, including a selection of over 80 different variations of French artisan cheese, all hand-made from the country’s best boutique producers.
Since 1999, Gérard Poulard, an internationally renowned expert of fine fromage, has been in high demand, sharing his passion and knowledge with guests at some of the world’s most prominent dining establishments. Travelling and working together with his son, Olivier in more than 22 countries, Gerard has received an ever-growing list of prestigious awards for his knowledge of France’s most delectable exports, including The Order of Agricultural Merit, Le Cordon Bleu France, and the Prosper Montagné from Quality House.
For over two decades, the cheese connoisseur has travelled throughout the French countryside, unearthing the fascinating history and culture of cheese. His knowledge of French cheese producers and farms is so extensive that has been known to recollect the name of the goat or cow from which the milk has been drawn.
Behind the cheeseboard, Gérard Poulard impresses and inspires, speaking of the unique flavours, textures and cheese-making techniques found across France. While guests will have the opportunity to savor their most-loved cheese styles, Gerard also encourages the exploration of lesser known varieties, helping all to find their perfect cheese-match in a culinary experience like no other.
Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant invites Bangkok food-lovers to meet Cheese Master Gérard Poulard as he takes residence at the chic rooftop venue from 2nd – 6th March 2018. Guests will enjoy a wide range of top quality French cheeses accompanied by a variety of homemade breads, cold cuts, and French wines.
