This year’s Vegan Festival in Thailand runs from 1 to 9 October. Throughout the period, The SQUARE restaurant will be offering healthy and satisfying dishes including vegetarian versions of Thai favourites. It’s a great way to enjoy high-quality vegan fare – and at a very reasonable price for downtown Bangkok.
Among appetisers, soups, hot selections and desserts on lunch and dinner buffets will be vegetarian massaman curry, green curry with young coconut, taro spring roll, clear bamboo soup with seaweed, spicy oyster mushroom soup, and lotus seed and red beans in syrup. Each day’s buffet will feature different items selected by the hotel’s executive chef.

ABOUT VEGETARIAN FESTIVAL
Thailand’s Vegetarian Festival, known also as Gin Jay, is of Chinese origin and occurs during the ninth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Despite its name, the festival for many means adhering to a strict vegan diet and foregoing all fish, dairy, meat and poultry as a way to cleanse the body both physically and spiritually.
