The Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) collaborated with the World Mediation Organization (WMO) and George Mason University Korea and recently hosted the first international symposium on mediation in Bangkok, Thailand, titled “Mediation – The Language of Peaceful Conflict Resolution”. held at Dusit Thani Bangkok Hotel. The four-day symposium attracted more than 100 participants to hear the international group of speakers THAC had invited. They came from all corners of the world, including USA, Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Korea and the United Kingdom to share their insights about a great variety of topics related to mediation and its application benefit to business and community conflict resolution. As the leading Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) center in Thailand and aimed to be ASEAN regional ADR hub. THAC took the initiative to organize this symposium and showcase Thailand as a regional leader in the domain of mediation and peaceful conflict resolution. At this event, THAC inspired attendees and speakers to further pursue the goal of promoting mediation as the best way to deal with conflicts.
