Ms. Panittha Buri, Managing Director of Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), recently announced that construction for the BITEC expansion project is now approximately 92% complete.
The ceiling panels have been completely installed over EH 100, making the new 25-metre high hall clearly visible towering above the venue. An operable wall marking the connection between the existing building and the new building has also been installed between the current hall EH 101 and EH 100.
The project has now entered the final phase, which means that work on the interior design has begun. The character and style of the new event halls is now starting to take shape while the concourse area is being fitted with the final ceiling panels overhead.
At the same time, the installation of mechanical, electrical and pumping systems to support air conditioning, ventilation, lighting, power and sanitation are now 80% complete and are progressing ahead of schedule throughout the site.
