IMPACT Signs an MOU with Silpakorn, Sodexo, and ibis Bangkok IMPACT and Novotel Bangkok IMPACT to Organise Specialised Training Courses to Reinforce Personnel Performance in MICE Industry

IMPACT has signed an MOU on academic cooperation with Silpakorn University, Sodexo (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and ibis Bangkok IMPACT and Novotel Bangkok IMPACT to organise specialised training courses. The purposes of these 30-hour courses are to reinforce the performance and potential of personnel among the four partners to meet the needs of the growing MICE industry in Thailand and to strengthen their interorganisational relationships.

Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. or IMPACT said, “We are the top leader of exhibition and convention centers in Thailand with an goal to provide our customers the utmost success and satisfaction. Our next goal is to be one of the top 5 exhibition and convention facilities in ASEAN. With that in mind, we are determined to prepare our personnel to acquire quality and expertise in all operations for the organisation and our customers. I am especially delighted to work in cooperation with national and international partners, namely Silpakorn University, Sodexo (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and ibis Bangkok IMPACT and Novotel Bangkok IMPACT to organise specialised training courses for our employees. This is also a good opportunity for them to exchange their experience and learn both from the course and real-life experience to develop their potential and performance. IMPACT is in charge of providing facility and equipment for the training, preparing personnel with relevant expertise and experience to be guest speakers, and sending our employees concerned to attend each course”.

Prof. Dr. Wanchai Sutananta, President, Silpakorn University. “Today, we are very pleased that Silpakorn University International College, one of our faculties, has developed an academic collaboration with leading service organisations like Impact Exhibition Management, Sodexo Support Service Thailand and Accor. This collaboration will form a part of the organisations overall staff development by offering short courses and training programmes. The first project under this collaboration is expected to be launched this coming June and we are looking forward to working with our partners for many more activities to come. In short, we are very excited about this new academic-industry partnership”.

There are currently over 4,000 staff providing various organisations with services including facilities management, repair and maintenance, security, housekeeping, and food services. Joining this MOU will help support our staff in terms of work-related knowledge and skills to obtain more efficiency. We are happy to send some of our staff to attend each course”.
