Gathering Shoppers at Bonjour French Fair 2016 Taste Shop and Experience “Mediterranean”

Returning once again! Especially for shoppers and foodies to enjoy “Bonjour French Fair 2016”, Thailand’s biggest French and European Fair under the theme Vive la Méditerranée” in the atmosphere of blue and white Mediterranean beach held by Franco – Thai Chamber of Commerce with the cooperation from its partners including Thai – Italian Chamber of Commerce, Jet Airway, and KTC. The fair features more than 2,000 premium imported products from France and Mediterranean countries for shoppers to enjoy and celebrate the New Year. The event is honored by H.E. Mr. Gilles Garachon, French Ambassador to Thailand, who is the chairperson for the opening ceremony at the Ballroom, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on December 15th, 2016.

Mr. Alexandre Dupont, President of Franco – Thai Chamber of Commerce, mentioned that “Bonjour French Fair represent to French and European product lovers and has been held for 14 consecutive years. This year, there is a special zone “Vive la Mediterranee” and putting together more than 90 booths of premium products such as cheese, wine, foie-gras, ham, tea, Mediterranean spices as well as furniture, accessories, perfumes, cosmetics, bed sheets, shoes from France and Mediterranean countries. Apart from providing opportunity to Thai shoppers for shopping on French and European premium products, it is also a platform for investors or business owners to directlyexplore and discuss with French investors in order to exchange ideas for improving their products and services to reach the international standard.

The atmosphere of the fair is reflecting of Mediterranean beach style, which is emphasizing on a warm and classic mood and tone for welcoming special guests. The world’s renown bakery chef who has been named “National Artist” in France “Chef Philippe Urraca” who visits Thailand for the first time to demonstrate the menu Profiterole”, the authentic French pastry made only on a special occasion. Moreover, he will also be sharing some interesting pastry techniques. The fair also features with freshly cooked food from Crepes & Co., who brings the Mediterranean menu for visitors including Tajine, which is the menu cooked in clay pot such as Tajine Lamb and Tajine Zitoune as well as Moussaka which is Greek food with thick sauce and having great aroma of cheese. It is quite similar to Italian lasagna but using eggplants and potatoes instead of pasta sheets resulting in sweetness from the vegetable serving with the sauce and cheese. Furthermore, there are also numerous of products at special prices such as Menorquinas (handmade casual leather shoes for kids and adults from Spain that is focusing on comfort of wearers, Daniel Wellington, a classic Swedish watch which presents the basic collection of “Classic Black” plus several other promotions offered to visitors.
