SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2018 (“SIMA ASEAN”), the Southeast Asian agri-business show opens today at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. In 2017, Asia Pacific was the largest agricultural region accounting for $6419.05 billion or 54.49% market share*, making Thailand an attractive place for sustainable growth.
“MOAC is proud to showcase the King’s Philosophy in the water and farm management exhibit and agricultural innovation showcase. Farmers and agricultural operators can discover and experience a comprehensive range of agricultural machinery, technology and farming practices from all the departments of the Ministry to meet their operation needs,” shared Mr. Teera Wongcharoen, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC).
A joint statement from the exhibition organizers, COMEXPOSIUM Group and IMPACT Exhibition Management CO., Ltd, said, “We are excited to have more than 200 leading exhibiting companies and brands from Thailand and the world. More than 9,000 visitors are expected, including 100 top regional buyers as well as up to 2,000 farmers and industry professionals from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) to attend SIMA ASEAN.”

Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives Pavilion
A machinery showcase covering 972sqm, displays technology usage in the agriculture industry, with drones, artificial intelligence, driverless tractors, mobile applications among others.
The Cooperative Union Pavilion
More than 20 cooperative unions from the Thai provinces will be at SIMA ASEAN, covering key production areas including rice, dairy, rubber, coffee and fruit. A Thai-developed greenhouse aims to showcase the power of Thai innovation in growing crops.
More than 100 regional and local buyers will connect with the exhibitors one-on-one to maximize business opportunities.
