Bangkok Mass Transit Authority to Facilitate the Travel of People for the Royal Cremation Ceremony

The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) is preparing to arrange a total of 46 bus routes to Sanam Luang from 23 to 31 October 2017 to facilitate the travel of the people who wish to attend the Royal Cremation Ceremony for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Out of this number, 25 are for regular buses and 21 for shuttle buses. The regular buses provide services from 04.30 to 24.00 hr. They include the bus numbers 1, 2, 3, 12, 15, 25, 32, 42, 47, 53, 59, 60, 68, 70, 79, 80, 82, 91, 203, 503, 508, 509, 511, 516, and 556. There is no service charge for non-air-conditioned buses. As for air-conditioned buses, the fare will be collected.

Shuttle buses will operate from 05.00-24.00 hr on the following routes:

1. Victory Monument – Sanam Luang;
2. Hua Lamphong – Sanam Luang;
3. Wong Wian Yai – Sanam Luang;
4. New Southern Bus Terminal – Sanam Luang;
5. Central Westgate – Sanam Luang;
6. Mo Chit 2 – Sanam Luang;
7. Nang Loeng Race Course – Sanam Luang;
8. Ekkamai – Sanam Luang;
9. Future Park Rangsit – Sanam Luang;
10. Don Mueang Airport – Sanam Luang;
11. Muang Thong Thani – Sanam Luang;
12. Royal Police Club – Sanam Luang;
13. Thupatemi Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium – Sanam Luang;
14. Chaeng Watthana Government Complex – Sanam Luang;
15. Suvarnabhumi Airport – Sanam Luang;
16. Megabangna – Sanam Luang
17. BITEC Bang Na – Sanam Luang;
18. Airport Rail Link, Makkasan – Sanam Luang
19. Central Plaza Rama II – Sanam Luang;
20. Salaya – Sanam Luang;
21. Buddhamonthon 4 – Sanam Luang.
Since several roads around Sanam Luang ceremonial ground and adjacent areas will be closed to traffic on 25-26 October, BMTA will pick up and drop off passengers at five spots as follows:
1. Pak Klong Talat intersection;
2. Arun Amarin intersection;
3. Wisut Kasat intersection;
4. Nang Loeng Race Course;
5. Ban Manangkhasila.
