ICONSIAM hands over the renovation project of the Royal Honorary Park under the King Taksin Bridge to provide public space and create a better living for the community

ICONSIAM, in cooperation with Klong San District Office and the Department of Rural Roads cordially organised the delivery ceremony of the “Renovation Project of the Royal Honorary Park under the King Taksin Bridge” to renovate the landscape architecture and improve the  aesthetic appearance of the park in Klong San District to become lively and fetching again in order to serve the local community as the center for meeting, exercising, and arranging social activities, as well as boosting tourism image for the area.

Recently, ICONSIAM together with Klong San District Office, and the Department of Rural Roads have joined hands to rehabilitate the landscape architecture and improve the aesthetic appearance of the Royal Park which is a full service urban park in Klong San District to facilitate people in the community for leisure and serve as public space for arranging various social activities which will help enhance security, create good relationship and strengthen the community growth.

The Royal Honorary Park under the King Taksin Bridge covering 20 rai of land was established in 1996 in an occasion of 50th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Accession to the Throne, and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s birthday celebration. After serving public for more than 20 years, the park has deteriorated over time so that the park is needed to properly rehabilitate for returning the urban park for Klong San people and nearby community.

The renovation project of the Royal Honorary Park under the King Taksin Bridge had been proceeded from July to September, 2017, aiming to restore the landscape and visionary of the park. The project has covered the area in front of the park and the footpath of surrounded area, recreation pavilion, exercise zone equipped with new exercise machines, and also the renovation of restrooms and building more restrooms etc.

On the delivery ceremony day, there was “ICONSIAM persuade to do good deeds coloring the Royal Honorary Park”, which was a voluntary activity by government and private sectors, as well as public sector, in particular Klong San people to join hands in planting Marigold in tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and turn the park into yellow in time for the royal cremation in October. Moreover, everyone also grew Yellow Star, a royal tree of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn King Rama X to express our loyalty to His Majesty, and create a calm and peace under His Graciousness. Moreover, the 2nd year of ICONSIAM Young Ambassadors painted fence around the exercise machine zone in order to enhance beautiful scenery for the area as well.
