The AirAsia Group introduces the AirAsia Premium Red Lounge at klia2 which will open its door to all guests on 2 September 2016, offering an elevated traveling experience with 24 hours services and facilities such as buffet spread, wireless internet, lounge area, workstations, showers facilities and more.

The airline groups’ Premium Flatbed and Premium Flex guests will be able to enjoy complimentary access to theAirAsia Premium Red Lounge, while it is also available to all other guests at RM79 per person.

Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Group CEO of AirAsia X and Executive Chairman of AirAsia Berhad along with Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X Berhad jointly unveiled the brand new facility today along with Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad.

The AirAsia Premium Red Lounge, one of the first LCC airline lounges in the world, is our commitment in creating exceptional value for our guests through innovative products and differentiated services.”

“We receive a significant number of at least 5,000 transit guests per day who would find services such as the AirAsia PremiumRed Lounge an added convenience and a plus point to their travelling experience. The lounge can accommodate up to 110 guests at any one time, and we look forward to serving all of the guests who will experience this when we open tomorrow,” added Datuk Kamarudin Meranun.

Sun Room_airasia premium red lounge

The newly unveiled AirAsia Premium Red Lounge is located at the Mezzanine Level of the International Departure at klia2. Spanning across a floor size of 302m2 with a mezzanine Sun Room overlooking the Skybridge and taxiway, the lounge will be part of the airline groups’ premium range of products including the Premium Flatbed and Premium Flex, which are designed to cater to guests with discerning needs.

AirAsia was named World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for the eighth year in a row and AirAsia X won the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline Premium Cabin and Premium Seat for the fourth straight year at the Skytrax World Airline Awards held recently in Farnborough, UK.

The AirAsia X Premium Flatbeds feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, reading light and privacy screen. Guests travelling on Premium Flatbeds can also enjoy premiumcomplimentary products and services including priority check-in, priority boarding, priority baggage, 40kg baggage allowance, meals, pillow and duvet, as well as access to the AirAsia Premium Red Lounge.
