Ltd. is preparing an army of SKYACTIV vehicles including the all-new CX-5 SUV to be displayed at this year’s Thailand International Motor Expo from November 30 to December 11 at the Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muangthong Thani. Featuring KODO Design plus European quality and luxury along with outstanding performance and fuel economy from the SKYACTIV technology, safety from i-ACTIVSENSE and connectivity though MZD Connect, the Mazda contingent will be led the all-new CX-5 SUV that comes with the new Soul Red Crystal body color.
Mr. Atsushi Yasumoto, Executive Vice President of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said during the past 10 months, the situation of the Thai automobile industry has improved thanks to all-round positive factors. “Mazda believes that total automobile sales in Thailand will reach 840,000 units in 2017, with higher growth than many had anticipated at the start of the year. The Motor Expo at the end of the year also serves as a marketplace for customers to shop for new automobiles from various brands and enjoy attractive sales promotions. In addition, the Thai government’s economic stimulus packages throughout the year also contributes to setting a favorable atmosphere making it easier for customers to purchase a vehicle,” he said.
“At this year’s Motor Expo, Mazda is displaying the latest models such as the MX-5 RF roadster, CX-3 crossover, Mazda3 compact car, Mazda2 subcompact car, BT-50 PRO pickup truck and the latest member – the all-new CX-5 that was just launched in mid-November. This is by far the most comprehensive product lineup for Mazda combining all our strengths into these SKYACTIV-inspired vehicles,” Mr. Yasumoto added.
He said the main reason for Mazda’s increased popularity is the excellence of the SKYACTIV technology and G-VECTORING CONROL (GVC). Highly-satisfied customers help spread the word to others, giving Mazda a strong presence among premium car users. This ranges from beautiful and exquisite design, attention to details with outstanding assembly quality, outstanding performance and fuel economy, and a comprehensive list of driving technologies incorporated into every Mazda model all comes from what the customer desires.
In addition, Mazda continues to move ahead in raising the quality of showrooms and after-sales servicing under the new MCI (Mazda Corporate Identity) concept. Presently 25 showrooms have undergone the change, with a target of 35 showrooms by the end of the year.
We also improved our services by initiating a 1-day express delivery service for spare parts, with competitive prices against competitor brands. We also started 45-minute express service bays, ensuring Mazda customers are well taken care of the minute they step into the facility.
Senior Marketing Director Mr. Thee Permpongpanth said after the launch of the all-new Mazda CX-5 in mid-November, more than 1,500 orders have been placed for the new model, which is higher than what Mazda had expected. “This gives us confidence that the new Mazda SUV will receive strong customer response at the Motor Expo. We expect to receive more than 4,000 units from all models and in order to thank customers for their confidence in our brand, Mazda is providing special offers at the show,” he said.
