AEON Thailand Foundation: Air Purifiers for PM2.5

Ms. Suporn Wattanavekin (middle), Chairperson of AEON Thailand Foundation donated 30 air purifiers valued 807,000 baht to Police General Hospital to help relieve the detrimental effects of PM2.5 air pollution on the hospital’s medical personnel, staff, and visitors. The donation was received by Pol.Gen. Visanu Prasattongosoth (right), Senior Inspector General, Royal Thai Police and Training Director of the Executive Development Program of National Police Agency and Pol.Lt.Gen.Sopnarush Singhajaru (left), Surgeon General of Police General Hospital. AEON Thailand Foundation recognizes the importance of providing a healthy and safe environment in the hospital, especially amidst the ongoing PM2.5 air pollution crisis, which significantly impacts the well-being and health of the Thai people. The respiratory disease group, dermatitis group, and inflammatory eye disease group have witnessed a surge in patients due to the adverse effects of the crisis. Prolonged exposure to high levels of PM2.5 pollutants in the air can lead to severe health conditions, including cardiovascular disease and cancer. Moreover, the foundation has also extended its support to other hospitals situated in the PM2.5 affected areas.
