Asian Staycation Thailand

The Land of Smiles was recently pronounced no. 1 in the world for its ongoing COVID-19 recovery effort. As such, the people of Thailand have been mildly inconvenienced if at all during these corona days. To make those smiles even wider, the Kingdom hosts some of the world’s best beaches and islands – now somewhat restored to blissful tranquility.  For anyone living in Thailand, there’s a pretty good choice of mesmerising beach destinations to consider – especially with these special promotional offers:

Banyan Tree Krabi, due to celebrate its grand opening on November 1st, is welcoming its first domestic guests with pool villas starting from 9,999 baht (USD 320) per night, inclusive of daily breakfast, plus a free pass to the resort’s unique Rainforest hydrotherapy spa for two persons (min. stay 2 nights). This majestic 72-key resort is surrounded by nature – forested mountains to the side and rear, and fronts a marine national park where limestone towers rise majestically from the sparkling Andaman Sea. The Special Offer booking period lasts from now till Sept. 30 for all reservations between November 1 and April 30, 2021, for both Thais and foreign residents.

After celebrating its grand opening in January this year, Meliá Koh Samui has joined the Thai government’s ‘Let’s Travel Together’ campaign to deliver a much-needed shot in the arm to the Kingdom’s tourism industry. Under the campaign, Thai citizens are offered a 40% rebate of up to 3000 Thai Baht (USD 96) per room per night on the best prices on Melia Koh Samui’s website, for bookings made for stays from now until October 31. The luxury resort on Choeng Mon Beach is also offering complimentary airport transfers and a 50% discount on treatments at its YHI Spa. Register for the campaign at www.เราเที่ยวด้วยกัน.com before calling the resort on +6677 938 899 to book a room or suite available on melia.com. Thai citizens will receive a coupon from the Paotung application once payment has been completed.

Vietnam

Vietnam has been hailed the world over for its response to the global pandemic. The country notched up some 99 consecutive days without a single case of COVID-19 via community transmission until a virus flare-up was detected in Danang late last month. With Vietnam’s national borders still shut tight amid the global pandemic, the country’s tourism industry is very much reliant on domestic travelers. The following deals by resorts in Vietnam support the local authorities’ campaign ‘Vietnamese people travel to Vietnamese destinations’ designed to encourage locals to explore their own backyard:

The Anam’s “Endless Summer Vibes” campaign features five different holiday packages underpinned with discounts of more than 50% off the resort’s 2019 room rates. Guests at Duadari, a Residence by Hadiprana, don’t have to worry about social distancing with the limited time “Art of Lingering” offer. Visitors can buy out the entire property by booking the two bedrooms of the villa. Traditional Balinese-style architecture connects indoors with outdoors through towering windows leading to thatched wooden ceilings and open-air pavilions. Rooms decorated in Balinese style feature larger than king-size beds (that could easily accommodate three people per bed). A pool tempts swimmers, while digital nomads can work while overlooking the verdant forest or tranquil pond. A dozen different spots on the grounds are ripe for picnicking.
