Away With Six Senses

As the world unfurls and daydreams turn to the next vacation, Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is delighted to be reopening around the world. True to a brand built on wellness, all the extra precautionary steps have been taken care of with great thought and responsibility so guests can throw off constraints, live life to the full and be adventurous, free spirited and carefree.

Mindful that everyone has experienced different personal challenges, Six Senses is reopening with the approach of offering all the facilities and amenities of a hotel or resort when needed, with the reassurance of total privacy and seclusion for when they’re not.

All locations are set up to provide ample space for people to pause, reflect and reconnect with themselves and loved ones while providing a range of optional wellness programming and fun and quirky experiences. Although the popular #AtHomeWithSixSenses initiative will continue to provide a portal into the heart of the Six Senses community, hosts are very much looking forward to inviting guests back in person. This will hopefully come as a welcome breath of fresh air for people who have been wanting to reawaken their senses and rediscover their laughter.

With ongoing international travel restrictions in place in some countries, and to respect the uncertainty that some guests may be feeling, there is also the option to purchase Plan Now, Play Later Certificates, which include an extra 20 percent value, allowing them to buy now and reconnect later, and are valid for a period of three years.

Set in a breathtaking location amid a protected national park, jungle-covered mountains and azure waters brimming with sea life, Six Senses Con Dao is just an hour away from Ho Chi Minh City. Private ocean view pool villas offer privacy and a space from which to revel in magnificent views. Fresh seafood delights tease the palate with bursting flavors and a host of wellness experiences and spa treatments provide a moment to pause and reflect.

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is the ultimate illusionist island escape. The illusion is that guests are on a remote island. The reality is that the resort sits on a dramatic bay looking out to the East Vietnam Sea so it can only be approached by water. Surrounded by impressive rock formations, white sand beach and a backdrop of towering mountains, there is no better place to be more intimately at one with nature. Its newest and most spacious villa is The Water Reserve, combining three bedrooms with indoor and outdoor living, an outdoor cinema and a water slide into the pool.

Serenity in Bali (open now)

A place where spirituality and tradition mix with beautiful beaches, great surf breaks and an eclectic wellness and dining scene. Six Senses Uluwatu offers endless opportunities to get to the heart of local culture, immerse in the surrounding world (with uninterrupted ocean views from every aspect), and look inwards during meditation or sacred rituals. If staying for two or more nights, the resort will take care of airport transfers and throw in a dinner at the best destination dining restaurant or a spa treatment for two.

Rekindle romance in Portugal (open now)

Six Senses Douro Valley is gloriously relaxing, weaving in the features of a beautifully renovated 19th-century manor house with the vine-covered countryside of the surrounding valley. Its newest accommodations – Vineyard Garden Suites – are a great option for guests who want to hide away. There is a separate bedroom, living and dining areas inside and a terrace with hot tub and day bed outside. Picnic spots have been set up around the forest for guests to enjoy breakfast or lunch outdoors.

Contemporary comfort in China (open now)

High up and away from it all in Chengdu, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain puts guests on the doorstep of the eponymous mountain, famous Panda Valley and home of Taoism. Summer residence at Six Senses Kaplankaya, Turkey (extended stay)

Six Senses Kaplankaya offers a social community where kids (and adults) can play together and enjoy all facilities: wellness and spa; restaurant and beach bar; nine bays and beaches; combined with children’s and sustainability activities. This season, the resort is offering only private Residential Villas via an extended-stay program for the residential community in a limited number of homes.

Private island or residences for when privacy is paramount

Those in need of total privacy and anyone who has been storing up an amazing celebration or get-together, Felicité Island in the Seychelles is a private island to reconnect with each other far removed from the connected world. It is home to Six Senses Zil Pasyon, a personal playground of uncompromising privacy from which to escape the chaos of today’s world. For a personalized experience, the resort is offering an exclusive opportunity to rent the whole island for one week for a maximum of 20 people.

Alternatively, guests can book one of the resort’s three- and four-bedroom residences with inspired design, ultra-sleek finishes and vistas across the Indian Ocean.

Tropical Thai islands Samui and Phuket (opening soon)

Opened since July 1, Six Senses Samui is one of those feelgood places where lazing by the pool and losing track of time come naturally. Inspired by a Thai fishing village, private villas blend into the landscape of natural vegetation and Guest Experience Makers organize everything from jungle drives to boat trips. The latest addition is a stunning new two-bedroom Beach Reserve, which offers an unparalleled sense of space and privacy with a large infinity pool and sundeck. Samui sunsets are not to be missed – guests can sail along the beaches, relax onboard one of the authentic Thai junks or a catamaran, and appreciate life’s gifts.

A tropical island set in awe-inspiring Phang Nga Bay. Natural vegetation and lush landscaping. Total privacy between each elevated villa, which are stilted and thatched in traditional Thai style. Private pool and Guest Experience Maker. Adventurous experiences and wellness immersions. This is how the story unfolds at Six Senses Yao Noi on Phuket. While no villas scrimp on space, the Ocean Retreat can be combined with the Ocean Deluxe Pool Villa for a three-bedroom complex offering the ultimate in comfort and convenience. The Hilltop has also been recently expanded to include a dining area, a chillout lounge and a bar overlooking one of the best views in Southeast Asia. Six Senses Yao Noi will re-open on July 24, 2020.

Cultural delights in Istanbul (opening July 30)

From the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern to the Grand Bazaa, this peerless cultural melting pot of a city has survived since the dawn of history. Once back at the base, guests can learn about the origins of coffee making and other Turkish beverages.

Cuisine is fresh, seasonal, healthful and packed with flavor and goodness, while being locally and responsibly sourced.
