Backyard Travel Launches One-Of-a-Kind Family Tour Through Laos

Backyard Travel, the online boutique tour operator specializing in insider tours throughout Asia, today announced a one-of-a-kind family tour through Laos. Packed with a wide range of different activities in the country’s most beautiful and fascinating locales, this kid-approved tour is one they’ll cherish forever.Starting in the charming UNESCO-listed town of Luang Prabang, the 11-day Exploring Wonders and Beauty – A Family Tour of Laos spends three nights in the ancient capital, touring the city’s historic sites, eating its delicious food and visiting a riverside elephant camp. Next stop is Vang Vieng, taking a detour first to a bear rescue and a butterfly farm along the way, and enjoying village explorations along the stunning Nam Song River.

Vientaine is next on the itinerary with three days touring the capital’s sights, from Sisaket Temple to the intriguing Buddha Park. Ending the tour on an adventurous note, it’s off to Bang Kong Lor in Laos’ pristine countryside with a drive through spectacular scenery to the locale’s main attraction: a limestone cave system. A long-tail boat ride along a subterranean river through the caves is an unforgettable highlight of this trip. Afterwards, families return to Vientiane for a special baci blessing ceremony for good luck on the journey home.

Laos is the perfect destination for families who love nature and exploring different cultures,” says General Manager of Backyard Travel Trystan Trestchenkoff. “On this tour, we’ve included immersive experiences for all ages, with activities balanced out by scenic drives through Lao’s beautiful countryside.”
