Burger King introduces their new healthy “Plant-based Whopper” super juicy, ‘just like meat’ burger, now available nationwide.

Burger King is the first Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR) business to launch the “Plant-Based Whopper” with 100% plant-based ingredients cooked using their unique flame-grilling process, giving a similar flavor to real meat, served with fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes, in sesame-sprinkled burger buns. The Plant-based Whopper will be available from March 1st onwards at Burger King branches nationwide priced at 165 Baht, and 219 Baht for a value meal. A promotion is available in which you can pair a Plant-Based Whopper with a regular Whopper for 299 Baht so customers can taste how the Plant-Based Whopper tastes like the original Whopper.

Mr. Tanawat Damnernthong, General Manager of Burger (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that Burger King recently launched their new Plant-Based Whopper menu. Made with tender and juicy 100% plant-based ingredients inspired by Burger King’s signature menu ‘Whopper’. What is special about Plant-based Whopper is the unique flame-grilling cooking process of Burger King that mimics the flavor of the plant-based burger as close to the real meat burger as possible. Served with fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and burger buns sprinkled with sesame seeds, the Plant-Based Whopper perfectly captures the classic Burger King’s taste. The Plant-Based Whopper will be available from March 1st onwards at Burger King branches nationwide priced at 165 Baht, and 219 Baht for a value meal that includes a soft drink and French Fries. There is also a special promotion in which you can pair a Plant-Based Whopper with a regular Whopper for only 299 baht.

Burger King is the first quick-service restaurant (QSR) in Thailand to use plant-based products as the main ingredient of their menu. Burger King has made its plant-based menu special by flame-grilling it to produce the taste most similar to meat. The main target of the menu is to focus on expanding the market to meet the needs of consumers who are health conscious or those who want to reduce their meat consumption due to diet, religion and other external factors, such as avoiding meat on special occasions, as Mr. Tanawat concluded.
