This year BICT Fest is back with lots of fun in our sleeves. Not only is this our first ever online edition, it’s also the first time that we will venture outside of Bangkok. We’ve joined hands with our networks, Uttaradit Tidyim/Ginganbai in Uttaradit and Lookwah in Phetchaburi to invite the locals to collaborate with us.
The concept of this year’s festival is a journey to “a school of imagination”, inspired by 3 cities; Bangkok, Phetchaburi, and Uttaradit. Take a virtual trip on our especially designed website! Kids and families can take part in creative learning activities in our “virtual classrooms” from the comfort of their own homes. Don’t worry, there’ll be lots of fun, and we promise, there won’t be any homework!
Importantly, this year you can just visit the festival free of charge. This is made possible with the partnerships from Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Goethe Institut Thailand, The Embassy of Portugal in Thailand, Fundação Oriente, The Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand, Pro Helvetia, the Japan Foundation Bangkok, and Greenspot.
This year’s program consists of 10 performances by Thai and international artists from Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Mexico, and Argentina. There are brand new productions and live Zoom performances, creative workshops, and artist’s talks (we have limited spots for live activities via Zoom, pls pre-register at https://www.facebook.com/bictfest). Also, there are short documentary clips about our networks in Phetburi and Uttaradit and marketplaces for you to shop and support local products and artists.
