Peter Tichy Appointed Opening General Manager of New Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh Bay

Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh Bay, the brand new beach resort nestled on Vietnam’s stunning south-east coast, has announced the appointment of Peter Tichy as its opening General Manager.

A highly-skilled hospitality professional with more than 30 years of industry experience, Peter has enjoyed an impressive career that included spells managing hotels in Russia, Sweden, Germany, Ukraine, Egypt, Nigeria and now, Vietnam. He also has a proven track record of hotel openings, having successfully launched multiple new properties worldwide.

Peter is no stranger to Radisson Blu, having previously managed four of the upper-upscale brand’s hotels, as well as properties under its sister brand, Park Inn by Radisson. This makes him the perfect person to introduce Radisson Hotel Group’s exceptional international standards to Cam Ranh Bay, one of Asia’s most attractive new resort destinations.

Nestled on Long Beach, a spectacular 18km-long stretch of sand in Vietnam’s Khanh Hoa province, Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh Bay is a world-class property with 292 contemporary rooms and suites, 36 pool villas, five F&B outlets including the iconic Blu Lobster, a destination spa and conference facilities for up to 550 delegates, all supported by the “Yes I can!” attitude of the staff.

Approximately 25 minutes’ drive south of Nha Trang, the popular resort town, Cam Ranh Bay is becoming one of Vietnam’s most desirable upmarket resort areas. It is just seven minutes’ drive from Cam Ranh International Airport, which offers direct connections to and from major Asian cities including Bangkok, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Seoul. The recent opening of a new international Terminal 2 has accelerated the airport’s growth, with almost five million passengers now arriving and departing each year.

Vietnam’s hospitality industry is booming; this captivating country welcomed a total of 12.9 million international visitors in the first nine months of 2019, 11 percent higher than the same period last year. This puts Vietnam’s tourism industry on track towards achieving another record year.

Capitalising on the opportunities Vietnam offers, Radisson Hotel Group is currently undertaking a significant expansion strategy in the country. This is being driven by the upper-upscale Radisson Blu brand, which is highly suited to the country’s upmarket resort areas. Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh Bay will become the group’s second seafront resort in the country, following Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc. A third project, Radisson Blu Resort Hoi An, is also in the pipeline.
