Celebrate the Magical Loy Krathong Festival at 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai

One of Thailand’s most beautiful festivals, Loy Krathong, or Yee Peng in the northern dialect, falls on the night of the 12th lunar month (usually in November) when the full moon lights up the night sky. This year’s magical event falls on Saturday, 31 October.

Celebrate this magical festival with family and friends at the award-winning, historical 30-suite 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai which is built around the original teak homestead which dates back to the late 1800’s.  Executive Chef Mam and her team have created a sumptuous Michelin Plate six-course tasting menu and six-course Thai tasting menu for lunch (11:00am – 3:00pm) or dinner (5:00pm – 9:00pm) at Palette Restaurant and the Dining Room.  Menu highlights include blowtorched tiger prawns and salmon served with heart of baby cos lettuce, semi dried tomatoes and spicy Thai chili vinaigrette; mushroom soup with truffle oil and roasted Angus veal served with baby vegetables, whipped potatoes and port wine beef jus.

Diners will receive a complimentary welcome drink and a traditional Krathong to float at the nearby Ping river for good luck.  Priced at THB 1,370++ (THB1,613 net) per person excluding beverages. Available on 30, 31 October and 1 November 2020. For guests wanting to make a night of it, the rate starts from THB 7,137+++ (THB 8,472 net) per night for a minimum two-night stay, inclusive of a round-trip airport transfer, daily breakfast for two, 25% discount on food and beverage and a ‘two for one’ offer of blissful spa treatments at Nitra Spa.
