Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, explained that Bangkok (Don Mueang) – Nha Trang strengthens AirAsia’s network in Vietnam by becoming its fifth destination from Thailand and the sixth route between the two countries. The airline currently flies Bangkok – Hanoi (2 times a day), Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh (3 times a day), Bangkok – Da Nang (3 times a day) and Bangkok – Can Tho (3 times a week). It also flies from its northern hub of Chiang Mai to Hanoi 1 time a day. All of the routes have been well received by Thai and foreign travelers alike and have emboldened AirAsia to continue adding flights to Vietnam.
“We have a very good relationship with Vietnam and see it as a strategic location for our network within Indochina due to its tourism, economic and investment potential as well as its popularity among Thai and foreign travelers. The people of Vietnam themselves have shown a keen interest in visiting Thailand, making each of our new routes a new opportunity to improve travel between the two countries. We plan many more routes to Vietnam in the future because it is still a growing market” Mr. Santisuk said.
Bangkok – Nha Trang is an exciting route for foodies looking to try excellent seafood, leisure travelers who will love its 6 kilometer long beachfront, coffee drinkers who will surely spend countless hours in its chic cafes and adventurers who can get their hearts pumping either off the city’s coast or at its theme parks. Nha Trang offers a variety of fun activities and is a unique place to visit in Vietnam.
