Dusit Hotels and Resorts Set to Debut in Japan with Unique Multi-Sensory Dining Experience

Guests will find plenty of space to work, rest, and play at ASAI Kyoto Shijo’s vibrant communal hubDusit Hotels and Resorts, a leading hotel and property development company in Thailand, has announced its debut in Japan with a special showcase of its upcoming hotels in Kyoto, including the luxurious Dusit Thani Kyoto and lifestyle-oriented ASAI Kyoto Shijo. During an event at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, the company executives shared their vision to expand to more key cities, including Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo. The properties, ASAI Kyoto Shijo and Dusit Thani Kyoto are set to open in June and September, respectively. The hotels’ stay and dining experiences will be inspired by the four key pillars of Dusit Graciousness: Service, Well-Being, Locality, and Sustainability.

The Dusit Thani Kyoto will offer a luxurious stay experience in the city’s Hanganji Monzen-machi district, with 150 elegantly appointed guest rooms set over four floors, large event spaces, a fitness centre, and a signature Devarana Wellness centre. The hotel’s dining options will include a speciality Teppanyaki restaurant, a chic social club, a lavish tea shop, and a multi-sensory fine dining experience crafted by award-winning chefs Duangporn “Bo” Songvisava and Dylan Jones from Thailand. Their latest concept, Ayatana, will feature a unique fusion of ancient Thai massage therapies and traditional Japanese rituals.

The ASAI Kyoto Shijo will feature 114 thoughtfully compact rooms that focus on the essentials, such as superior quality beds and powerful showers, to foster meaningful interactions while celebrating the community’s artistic and cultural heritage, with some unique Thai touches. The hotel will offer a cosy dining room inspired by the rich street-food culture of Bangkok, featuring a scrumptious selection of authentic Thai curries, flavoursome grilled and fried snacks, and signature dessert selections.

Dusit’s milestone entry in Japan promises to bring a unique multi-sensory dining experience crafted by world-famous chefs, Bo Songvisava and Dylan Jones. Their passion for ethical sourcing, innovative culinary flair, and love for Thai cuisine will be translated into a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience where authentic Thai flavours meet the finest Japanese traditions for memorable moments to savour.
