Escape the turbulences of life and embrace change at Kamalaya Koh Samui

Are you tired of everchanging restrictions, uncertainties and the growing pollution? Do you long for a breath of fresh air, a break away from the turbulence of life? At Kamalaya, you will not only find peace and tranquillity, but also the tools to face the challenges of life with a stronger mind and a new emotional balance. Come to us and embrace change!“In times of uncertainty and unprecedented change how do we engage these historical moments? Do we push things away? Do we engage a stressful response? Or do we move into and embrace the changes that are being called for?,” questioned Karina Stewart, Kamalaya Co-Founder and Chief Wellness Director.

Whether you are a solo traveller or a couple who wants to escape the stress and hassle of city life, a corporate leader helping your team to step up, or simply tired of working endless hours from the confinement of your home office: Kamalaya is designed for you.

Stay as long as you want, with the flexibility and support to remain connected. Or perhaps explore a creative or personal pursuit. Whatever you choose, you will see positive change and progress in your life.

At Kamalaya you are surrounded by the healing elements of nature – you live and work in 10 acres (26 rai) of magnificent tranquil gardens with natural boulders, whispering creeks, lots of trails and plenty of space for you and your loved ones. Kamalaya’s globally renowned health protocols, its generous spaces with many open-air facilities, plus the fact that Koh Samui is not a maximum control zone, gives you the freedom to move around and feel completely safe.

Recent research by Dr. Shaun Fitzgerald, a professor at Cambridge university in the UK, showed that fresh air can cut the risk of Covid-19 infection up to 80%. And the World Health Organisation states that natural ventilation is ‘an important factor’ in preventing the virus from spreading. Of course we have all the government recommended hygiene and safety standards in place.

“Take the time at Kamalaya to assess and gather new skills. It is proven that new resources and new habits strengthen our ability to adapt and become more flexible and resilient and more robust in our health,” recommended Karina Stewart, Kamalaya Co-Founder and Chief Wellness Director.

Come and relax, start your day with yoga and meditation, take a stroll on our secluded beach and count the stars in a clear sky from the privacy of your terrace. Do one of Kamalaya’s 17 world renowned programs that are designed to counteract the stresses of contemporary life, such as exhaustion and even adrenal burnout. Let us guide you towards a more balanced life. A healthy gourmet cuisine also offers vegetarian, vegan and of course delicious Thai dishes which will nourish you and give you a glow from the inside out.

Kamalaya has been attracting long-stay guests since opening in 2005, but in the last three years we have seen a significant increase. While many hotels were shut during lockdown last year, Kamalaya stayed open with guests from around the world who preferred the feeling of safety and the high level of precautions instead of returning to their home countries.

“Immerse yourself in an environment where the air is pristine, the food supports optimum immunity by reducing inflammation, you revitalize your mind and your body and where you are at the same time able to work. Let island and ocean views, sunrise and sunset stimulate your creativity for the year ahead. Envision - when all of this is behind you – what you would like to be,” added Karina Stewart, Kamalaya Co-Founder and Chief Wellness Director

For everyone currently in Thailand, Kamalaya has amazing offers, especially long stay guests can enjoy fantastic rates when booking our Wellbeing Sabbatical Program. 21 nights start at 193,014 THB (instead of 331,335 THB) per person sharing a double room, 216,114 THB (instead of 396,435 THB) for single occupancy. Included are treatments according to the program (e.g., stress management sessions, body tension relief massage, holistic facial acupressure and many more), three healthy gourmet meals daily, a BIA (Body Bio Impedance Analysis) followed by an initial health consultation, access to free holistic classes and use of our leisure and lap pools, fitness centre and steam saunas.

Kamalaya is part of the government’s tourism campaign ‘Rao Tiew Duay Kan’.
