Finnair Unveils New Long-Haul Business & Economy Cabins

Finnair has unveiled a new look for long-haul flights, including new business and premium economy cabins, as part of a massive investment in customer service.

At a press conference in Helsinki, the flag carrier announced a €200 million investment.

Finnair’s Airbus A350 and A330 long-haul aircraft will have a comprehensive cabin makeover over the next two years, installing new cabins.

Choosing long-haul routes will offer the full experience in the spring, including new service concepts.

The routes will be unveiled on March 1st, when the sales begin.

Topi Manner, Finnair’s CEO said, “Our investment to enhance the long-haul customer experience underlines our ongoing commitment to delivering a premium experience in every cabin on our aircraft.”

“The pandemic has had a significant impact on our industry, but it has not impacted our objective to offer a modern premium experience as we continue to be the first choice for travellers connecting Europe and Asia.”

A brand-new business class seat idea, created in conjunction with Collins Aerospace to maximise customer space and movement, will have Finnair as its debut customer.

Customers can personalise their flying experience thanks to the flexible seating and sleeping options provided by the fixed shell lounge.

Design elements in Finnair’s business and premium economy cabins are influenced by Helsinki Airport’s newly reopened non-Schengen lounges, unveiled earlier this year.
