Gaspard Artisan Cuisine: The New French Restaurant In Luang Prabang

Gaspard restaurant has settled in this UNESCO classified two-storey traditional Tai Lue style teak house at the crossroad of the well-known Luang Prabang Nam Phou fountain and the Mekong River. Gaspard is the brainchild of two friends and partners, whom already experienced a close partnership 4 years ago with the opening of the now famous scenic restaurant Manda de Laos featuring Laotian Family cuisine in Luang Prabang. Gaspard is rooted in a shared passion of home-cooked, artisan meals, verdant gardens, good living and aspire to be the French atmosphere in the middle of Luang Prabang.

The Chef, originally from France takes pride in offering a menu that celebrates the Artisan values, the quality, flavors and spirit of French cuisine using seasonal ingredients carefully handpicked at the market of Luang Prabang. The authentic artisan menu features French traditional signature dishes with an “A la française” service.

The well-trained bartenders craft French vintage cocktails that will delight all taste buds. An impressive selection of spirit, brandy as well as a carefully handpicked selection of some of Gaspard’s favorite wines is also available.

The unique design emerged from the collaboration between craftsmen from Luang Prabang and a notorious Brittany based interior designer.

The secret garden terrace is the perfect place for atmospheric rendez-vous under a canopy of tropical flowers and starry skies.

Downstairs the sumptuous stylish bar overlooks the dining area. The salon’s baroque aesthetics reminds of exotic travels and chance encounters.

Upstairs, the traditional teakwood patina and soaring ceilings reminding Luang Prabang’s sublime natural beauty and her gracious, down-to-earth spirit giving a warm feeling to the space. Gaspard definitely has a “je ne sais quoi “.
