Great Wall Motor Hosts 5th GWM Partner Forum, Plans to Expand GWM Store Network to 80 Locations in Thailand in 2022

Great Wall Motor recently hosted the 5th GWM Partner Forum, inviting investors and businesspeople to discuss and exchange ideas while looking for entrepreneurs with similar vision in running a business to become its partners.

The aim was to establish a total of 80 GWM Stores across the country in 2022, fulfilling the xEV ecosystem in Thailand for the convenience of customers while driving Thailand towards an xEV society in a sustainable way. The GWM Partner Forum was held on 9 & 10 August 2022 at the GWM Experience Center ICONSIAM, with a total of 37 investors from 18 companies attending the event.

After successfully organizing the GWM Partner Forum four times and receiving tremendous interest from investors and businesspeople both inside and outside the automobile industry, such as people in construction, hotels, mobile phones, real-estate, restaurants, machinery, and transportation, the 5th GWM Partner Forum was adjusted to small conversation groups of three sessions for those interested in opening a Partner Store (a showroom with a full-range service center) to exclusively exchange ideas with Great Wall Motor’s executives. The executives were led by Narong Sritalayon, Managing Director, and Piyanuch Chaturaphat, Sales Director, of Great Wall Motor (Thailand) reinforcing Great Wall Motor’s business approach, which is committed to consistently delivering new user experiences to customers.

Narong Sritalayon, Managing Director of Great Wall Motor (Thailand), said: “Great Wall Motor is committed to becoming the xEV leader in Thailand. We have received the utmost trust throughout the one and a half years of our operations in Thailand, guaranteed by more than 10,000 electric vehicles delivered to customers.  We have had a distinctive sales performance, with a total of 6,000 vehicles this year from the All New HAVAL H6 Hybrid SUV, All New HAVAL JOLION Hybrid SUV, ORA Good Cat and the ORA Good Cat GT, which was launched in June. Beyond launching our quality products with innovative technology, we are focusing on expanding our business partner network to make it easier for GWM fans across the country to access our products and services. At the end of Q2 2022, Great Wall Motor had 49 GWM stores nationwide, with a target of establishing up to 69 locations in Q3 and establishing 80 locations in total by the end of this year, as our core mission to enhance customer experience. We hope that investors and businesspeople who participated in the GWM Partner Forum this time will be interested in becoming our partners and contributing towards Thailand’s xEV society in a steady and sustainable way.”

Piyanuch Chaturaphat, Sales Director of Great Wall Motor (Thailand), said: “The 5th GWM Partner Forum in small groups provided us with the chance to listen exclusively to the voices and answer the questions of the investors and businesspeople who attended. A total of 37 participants from 18 firms came from diverse industries, allowing for different points of view to be expressed. We may utilize that data to improve our strategy to meet the needs of our present and prospective partners. Great Wall Motor is focusing on business partners because we believe that business partners (not just dealers or distributors) are stakeholders as service providers who will contribute to the creation of a new standard for the xEV society by providing remarkable and impressive user experiences that will meet the needs of customers in all aspects.”

Beyond expanding the business partner network, GWM will also expand its charging stations to 55 locations across Thailand this year in three formats: G-Charge Supercharging Station, Charging Station at Partner Store, and Destination Charge under the banner of the ‘G-Charge’ platform, with 70% in Bangkok and metropolitan areas and 30% in provincial areas. All GWM charging stations are equipped with high-power DC Fast Charge compressors, starting at 120 kW, serving all brands, open 24/7 and convenient with the GWM app. Moreover, there are plans to consolidate charging stations across Thailand in the GWM app from 55% to 85% by this year.

As the ‘Global Intelligent Technology Company’, GWM is committed to growing alongside consumers, business partners, and society to contribute to the sustainable growth of Thailand’s electric vehicle industry and economy. GWM focuses on consumers’ voices to further develop products and services filled with cutting-edge technologies that are safe and friendly to the environment, all while utilizing its user-centric approach to deliver exceptional experiences and elevate the country as well as the ASEAN automotive industry.
