Hearty Kani Nabe Crab Hotpot at Yamazato

Sometimes called the king of winter cuisines in Japan, Nabe Mono or hotpot is a treat best enjoyed with family and friends. ‘Nabe’ refers to a large traditional Japanese cooking vessel in which a variety of ingredients including meats, fish, seafood and vegetables are simmered together in a seasoned dashi broth to provide a wonderful communal meal. Very much a winter specialty in Japan, a nabe hotpot can be shared over many hours as the ingredients are replenished as desired.

Throughout February at Yamazato, The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s MICHELIN Plate signature Japanese restaurant, guests can enjoy a deeply satisfying Kani Nabe, or crab hotpot, starring succulent seasonal snow crab with spinach rolled in Chinese cabbage, leeks, shiitake, shimeji and enoki mushrooms, tofu, carrot, daikon radish, mochi rice cake and udon noodles. Warming and nourishing, it is a culinary celebration of the season for the whole family.

The Kani Nabe crab hotpot promotion is available from 1 – 28 February 2020, daily from 18:00 – 22:30 (last orders at 22:00). Price is 2,500 Baht++ per pot.
