Hilton’s Luxury Brands Celebrated for Multiple Marks of Excellence in Coveted Awards Programs

The Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts brands, part of Hilton’s (NYSE: HLT) Luxury Group, have received affirmations as the world’s best in the 2021 edition of Travel + Leisure 500 list as well as the prestigious 2021 Forbes Travel Guide Star AwardsAmong Asia’s shining stars are 17 hotels across both brands, located in iconic destinations ranging from gateway cities in China and South East Asia to resort locations from the Maldives to French Polynesia.

There are six iconic properties under the storied Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand across Asia’s most desirable destinations, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Xiamen, Bangkok and the Maldives. Claiming one of the top spots across both award programs is Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. Within two years of its launch and just over a month after announcing its exclusive private island, Ithaafushi – The Private Island, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi has secured fifth spot in the “Top 100 Hotels of the World” list of Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. In an exceptional commendation, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi was also awarded the title of “Hotel Instagram of the Year” by the Forbes Travel Guide for its spectacular social content strategy and engagement campaigns.

Spanning five continents with 39 properties, Conrad Hotels & Resorts creates a seamless connection amongst contemporary design, leading innovation and curated art to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit of the globally connected traveler. Across Asia, 12 Conrad properties were celebrated for hospitality and service excellence in Bali, Beijing, Osaka, Hong Kong, Macau, Maldives, Manila, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo and Bora Bora.

Each year, readers of Travel + Leisure are invited to share their thoughts on destinations, city hotels, resorts and more in the annual World’s Best Awards survey. Drawing on the past year’s results, 500 best hotels around the globe were recognized in the 2021 Travel + Leisure 500 list. Forbes Travel Guide 2021 

Forbes Travel Guide is the only global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas.  Winners of the 2021 Star Awards were surveyed before the pandemic and as soon as regional restrictions enabled inspectors to conduct incognito evaluations across three days per hotel. Anonymous professional inspectors evaluate based on up to 900 objective standards, with an emphasis on exceptional service, to help discerning travelers select the world’s best luxury experiences. The only way to get a Five-Star, Four-Star or Recommended rating is by earning it through its independent inspection process. Hilton’s luxury portfolio comprised 16 award winners.
