The lips where smacking and bellies burgeoning as Hooters Asia kicked off its National Chicken Wing Eating Contest with the third qualifying round at Hooters Bangkok Soi 15 on Friday, March 6.
Heckled and cheered on by a lively crowd, the contestants winged their way through 20 of America’s best wings in the fastest possible time. The Hooters girls were on hand to ensure no foul play and the top 20 fastest eaters in town, providing none of the contestants chicken out, will now progress to the next rounds.
After three rounds Khun Bank – Wongsakorn Taksadikul, Thailand’s runner up in the Food Fighter’s Show, is leading with a time of 2.4 minutes.
The next fun-filled qualifying round takes place at Hooters Samui, April 3.
The Grand Final at Hooters Pattaya will be exciting and where a THB 100,000 first prize will be up for grabs.
Wing lovers can register in advance or on arrival on the set date for 299 THB and only the first 100 to sign up online or in person will compete from 8-9:30 pm.
