Hospitality Group Louis T Collection Appoints Scott Reid as Project Manager

The hospitality group Louis T Collection is expanding its building solutions arm this month with the appointment of Scott Reid as project manager. The Brit brings with him over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and joins the company in the midst of a major renovation and repositioning of Louis T’s first Australian property. With over two decades of construction experience, Reid has worked across Europe and Asia in a variety of roles from erecting log cabins in idyllic locations to supervising multi-million-dollar construction projects for hotel developments. His most recent position was with Thai company Development Management Asia as construction project manager. In this role Reid supervised a number of large-scale refurbishments and new builds in the hospitality sector on Koh Samui, Thailand.

Prior to his move to Asia, Reid worked for six years with Workspace Design, a large furniture, fittings and equipment contractor in the UK, where he managed a range of projects, including Government contracts and a hospital.

Reid joins Louis T’s project team as they near the completion of Quay Perth, an 80-room boutique hotel in Western Australia’s capital set to open in Q2, 2019. He will assist with the project’s completion and will be the main point of contact for the day-to-day running of hotel developments. He will be based out of Bangkok.

“Many hotel companies merely offer technical services when it comes to a reconstruction or new build,” said Robert Batrick, Louis T Collection’s director of project services. “But we do more. We manage it from conception to completion, representing hotel owners throughout process. Scott’s proven success in this same holistic approach to a project makes him an asset to the Louis T team.”

The Quay Perth project is Louis T Collection’s second major rebuild and repositioning job. The company completed a multi-million-dollar renovation and repositioning to Mantra Samui Resort in Koh Samui in 2017 with Robert Batrick at the helm.
