Jonathan Wigley, CEO of the Absolute Hotel Services group, has announced the implementation of Absolute Hotel Services’ new We Care Programme across all properties managed by the group including U Hotels & Resorts, Eastin Grand Hotels & Resorts, Eastin Hotels & Residences, Eastin Easy and Travelodge hotels branded. The programme was created in partnership with Diversey to redefine the group’s hygiene and sanitisation standards and guidelines in order to minimize any risks to guest and employees’ health given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Absolute Hotel Services’ Quality Assurance Team, a team to ensure operational performance in alignment with company standards, will oversee the rollout and further development of the new We Care Programme, which builds on existing health and safety standards to provide guests and employees with clean and safe environments.
The new programme is fully compliant with expert advisories and guidelines from Diversey, who are global leaders in the hygiene and cleaning industry. As part of the We Care Programme, all hotels will implement enhanced levels of sanitisation and use Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved disinfectants against COVID-19 and other harmful bacteria throughout all public areas including lobbies, reception areas, fitness centres, pool areas, shower/locker rooms, elevators and guest rooms.
Additional precautionary measures will also be implemented as part of the programme which includes the availability of hand sanitisers throughout all properties and the disinfecting of all hotel key cards. The new guidelines and standards with extend beyond guest areas into all back of house operations from supply chain deliveries to culinary preparation areas and housekeeping procedures. All hotels will continue to fully adhere to the health and safety measures and recommendations of local government guidelines and the World Health Organisation.
