The ‘Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony’ was held to commemorate the commencement of construction on the much anticipated ‘Cross Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station’ property. Signed in 2019, this is a joint venture between Cross Hotels & Resorts, and Italmar (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Despite the challenges that the pandemic has prompted in the hospitality world, Cross Hotels & Resorts has earned the trust of both new and existing owners, including Italmar (Thailand) Co., Ltd., who owns an existing Cross Vibe property – Cross Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit, which is currently one of the best performing properties in Bangkok.

As its name suggests, Cross Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station is located only steps away from the Udomsuk BTS Skytrain station which will become the interchange station of the Light Rail Train system’s Bangna – Suvarnabhumi Airport line.

Udomsuk is being coined ‘The new Thonglor’ in terms of lifestyle, residential facilities and convenience. Udomsuk is a hub for digital nomads and a new breed of travelers and has a number of extremely popular restaurants including the first Michelin Guide restaurant – Bib Gourmand’s ‘Somtum Khun Kan’.

Udomsuk is also renowned for its street food and also touts a community mall that starts from the beginning of Udomsuk road and runs all the way up to Srinakarin junction. The area is easily accessible by public transportation; the BTS Green Line, the Monorail Yellow Line and the Airport Light Blue Line. Getting there by car is also a breeze, with nearby expressway access and interconnecting avenues linking up with many popular districts in the vicinity. Cross Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station will certainly be a new landmark for the bustling and thriving Udomsuk neighbourhood.

The 102-key Cross Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station offers not only a place to rest, but also abundant space and the freedom to work the way you like, with a connection area, co-working space, trendy business center with all the trimmings, lifestyle café, fitness center and rooftop pool.

Harry Thaliwal, CEO, Cross Hotels & Resorts said, “This is our second hotel with Italmar (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and we are extremely grateful and excited about this expanded partnership. Our brand caters to fast changing trends of travelers and we ensure we stay relevant to them. I have extreme confidence in what our Cross Vibe brand can deliver and we will see its success replicated at Cross Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station.”

Direk Vongvairoj, Chairman, Italmar (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and owner of Cross Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit and Cross Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station properties believes that despite the pandemic there is no need for the construction to be postponed.

“There is no better time than now. The industry will bounce back and with Cross Hotels & Resorts and its distribution, we believe that once travel resumes, we will be able to welcome our guests both returning ones and new, back to both of our hotels. We are very happy working with Cross Hotels & Resorts. This is our 2nd Cross Vibe property in Bangkok and the team has shown professionalism and great results; this is why we want to continue the relationship,” said Direk Vongvairoj, Chairman, Italmar (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Cross Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station is slated to open in Q4 2022.

Cross Hotels & Resorts operates 22 hotels across three distinct brands – Cross, Cross Vibe and Away, in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Japan under management and franchise agreements.
