Green Pearls® welcomes the Villa Breitenberg in Bavaria as the newest member. In the midst of the border triangle Germany Austria, Czechia with a gorgeous view of the Bohemian Forest lies the small boutique hotel nestled in the Bavarian Forest. Once the building served as a residence of a Viennese Medical Counselor, before it was carefully and ecologically renovated by the today’s owners Guido Hettler and Alexander Poppitz and altered to a hotel with 14 rooms and two flats.
The motivation for a green hotel lies in the impressive surroundings: „The privileged situation of the villa situated on the East slope of the mountain Höpfl offered the perfect scenery for us. Wonderful views of the mountain range of the Bohemian Forest and the valleys of the Mühlviertels, showed us from the beginning which natural miracles we have to protect and conserve and to take over responsibility for the environment and the coming generations. “
The Villa Breitenberg stands for its environmental protection implemented in the hotel daily routine like garbage avoidance and employee’s trainings, and a sustainable energy management. An important part for the Slow Food partner is the conversion on seasonal and regional 100% certified bio-kitchen.
