Renowned Southeast Asian boutique hospitality brand, X2 [Cross-To] Resorts, has unveiled a stylish new dining destination on Thailand’s idyllic Eastern Seaboard, following the opening of X2 Pattaya Oceanphere, its latest boutique resort.
Ocean Bistro is the hotel’s vibrant all-day restaurant, nestled just 450 metres from the shore. In this exquisite seafront setting, expert chefs will create contemporary à la carte menus that focus on local sustainable seafood, prepared in Mediterranean and Thai styles.
Light, bright and colourful, this inviting restaurant showcases the region’s maritime heritage with coastal patterns, sea life artworks, raw timber and Pasaya fabrics resembling the sea sculpted into the ceiling. Chalkboards behind the counter echo the style of a traditional seafood shack, while the chic design includes driftwood and fishermen’s baskets. The restaurant will also feature an open kitchen which allows guests to see the chefs in action, creating a sense of culinary theatre and a connection between diners and their dishes.

Days start in style at Ocean Bistro, with the signature X2 free-flow Champagne breakfast served to your table while your à la carte order is freshly prepared in front of you. Alternatively, guests can choose from a wide range of light healthy options such as tropical fruits and juices, cereals, artisan jams and more. À la carte lunch and dinner services will allow the hotel’s talented chefs to demonstrate their culinary skill and flair. Harnessing locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients, the menus will comprise a selection of innovative international dishes and exquisite Asian options, including Thai comfort foods, all plated with vivid and highly Instagrammable presentation.
Interestingly, the restaurant will place a unique focus on canned sardines, which are served in a tapas style on small wooden trays, accompanied by a selection of vegetables, salads and sauces. These underrated delicacies are perfect for sharing, and sardine cans form a strong part of the restaurant’s artistic design concept.
X2 Pattaya Oceanphere also understands that while Ocean Bistro is an inviting place to dine and socialise, many guests prefer to spent time in the privacy and luxury of their pool villa. To cater for this, the hotel offers a 24-hour in-room dining service featuring a wide selection of Thai and international options, including the signature sardine dishes. Each villa also comes equipped with kitchen facilities and guests will be able to purchase ready-made dishes that they can reheat in their villas.
