It’s a still a fairly well-kept secret that most of the islands just off the province of Trang are largely pristine, low-key and even now feel off the beaten track. Low built and relaxed, they feel a world away from the better-known, popular holiday islands in the North.
Most recently, Don Ross in TTR Weekly (August 21, 2018) highlighted the attractions of this southern Thai province in ‘News for Southeast Asia’s Travel Planners’.
Trang, well known for its delicious foods and tropical fruits, and its neighboring province of Krabi, offer a huge variety of nature tourism opportunities with hot springs, fruit tree plantations, and many caves and waterfalls. Plus, the fun of hopping among the delightful local islands.
And perhaps one of the best is Koh Mook/Muk. Spending a week or so on Koh Mook/Muk will relax you in a way that is long gone on the more established Thai holiday islands. Enjoying local village life, hiking, visiting the amazing Morokot (emerald) cave, and lazing on the beach sipping a fresh coconut sums up the holiday experience on Mook/Muk Island and PaWaPi Resort in particular.
PaWaPi Resort on Koh Mook/Muk is excited to announce the recent acquisition of a highly experienced General Manager, multilingual Dutchman, Kris Mulder. His hospitality management experience goes back eleven years including stretches in Thailand (Phuket) and more recently the Lao PDR (Luang Prabang & Pakse).
At PaWaPi, 2018 is usefully spent in building a large circular reception area/lobby and a new freshwater (chlorine treated) swimming pool expected to be fully operational by mid-2019.
With PaWaPi Resort’s 32 sqm Thai-style elevated wooden bungalows featuring modern facilities, air-con and a large terrace each overlooking the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea plus another row set among the coconut trees, this is the dream of what Thai island life should be all about.
Luxury tropical Island living can be found in the more recently constructed modern 77 sqm large villas (there is one beach row of these villas and one beach access row). All with air-con, mini-fridge and a large terrace which can easily accommodate families with one or two children. What’s more, one deluxe family or honeymoon villa is planned for 2019.
All bungalow, villa’s and the lobby now come with fiber-optic supported complimentary WiFi.
PaWapi Resort welcomes International & Local Travel Agents contracting and offers interesting island stays to F.I.T. as well as family travelers.
The PaWaPi Resort is a family owned property set up on the east-cost of Mook/Muk Island nine years ago and started with only a beach row of elevated Thai style wooden bungalows.
The resort supports the small local community and employs and trains their staff from the only village on the island.[pro_ad_display_adzone id="915575"]
