Invest Islands Presents Lombok And Luxury Projects To Potential Investors At Hicap 2022

Invest Islands, Lombok’s leading real estate company, will attend the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) for the first time this year, as it presents this attractive Indonesian island and its latest luxury project, Gran Meliá Lombok, to savvy investors from across the region.

For over 30 years, HICAP has been the preferred event for Asia Pacific’s hotel investment community, attracting the most influential owners, developers, lenders, executives and professional advisors. This makes it the perfect platform for Invest Islands to showcase its world-class projects on a global stage. This year’s HICAP takes place in Singapore from 19-21 October 2022.

Delegates at this important expo can meet with Invest Islands’ senior executives and learn all about the latest updates from Lombok. Traditionally seen as Bali’s more secluded sister island, Lombok is being successfully transformed into an international-standard tourism destination, while still retaining its sense of authenticity and serenity. Much of the island’s development is focused on the Mandalika area of the island – a stunning stretch of the south coast where the Indian Ocean laps against crescent-shaped sandy bays and lush green headlands.

This idyllic island is easily accessible; Lombok International Airport is less than 12 years old and welcomes direct flights from Jakarta, Bali, Kuala Lumpur and, from mid-October 2022, Singapore. The launch of these new services from Changi Airport will enable even more people to travel to Lombok next month to attend the Indonesian round of the FIM Superbike World Championship, which is expected to attract 45,000 spectators to the Mandalika International Circuit from 11-13 November 2022. The prestigious MotoGP series will then return to Lombok in October 2023.

Also now taking shape at Torok Bay, one of the most scenic bays, is Gran Meliá Lombok – a unique retreat that blends eye-catching architecture and eco-friendly design with the uncompromising standards of Gran Meliá, the five-star brand from Meliá Hotels International. This breath-taking, eco-sensitive property will feature 110 pool villas, including beachside duplexes and one-to three-bedroom hillside sanctuaries, all incorporating high-spec interiors, panoramic windows, pool decks and uninterrupted hillside or ocean views. Sustainability is integrated into all areas of the property, from the use of organic, locally-sourced building materials to energy-saving fixtures and fittings. Renewable energy, including solar panelling, will power the entire project.

Invest Islands can also now reveal details of Gran Meliá Lombok’s elevated clubhouse, where guests and residents will be able to unwind at an exceptional restaurant, sea-facing bar, upmarket retail outlets, freeform flowing pools with waterfalls and rippling streams, fully-equipped fitness centre, spa village, kids’ club and more, all set among verdant rice fields and swaying palm trees. A conference space and wedding chapel also create outstanding options for event organisers seeking a one-of-a-kind destination for their function.

This makes Gran Meliá Lombok the ultimate investment opportunity for a new generation of digital nomads who want to escape the urban environment and improve their quality of life. To make Lombok even more alluring, the Indonesian government recently announced a new five-year, tax-free visa, which has already been nicknamed the “digital nomad visa” and is expected to be popular among young, footloose global citizens. Another visa scheme has been created for second home owners, including retirees, who are attracted by the wonders of Indonesia.

Now on sale and due to open in 2025, this spectacular resort has already been named as the “Best Hospitality Development” at the Asia Pacific Property Awards. To learn more, please visit www.granmelialombok.com.

“The world is changing and investors have a wealth of new opportunities to upgrade their busy lives. Savvy investors, including entrepreneurs and executives from cities such as Singapore and Hong Kong, can now move to Lombok and enjoy luxurious island lifestyles. Just a few years ago, this kind of relocation would have seemed impossible, but with mindsets changing and technology advancing, this vision is becoming a reality for many forward-thinking urbanites. We are excited to present these opportunities to potential investors and other delegates at HICAP 2022,” commented Kevin Deisser, CEO & co-founder of Invest Islands.

HICAP 2022 runs from 19-21 October 2022 at Fairmont Singapore & Swissotel The Stamford. To learn more, please visit www.burba.com/HICAP.
