JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa Supports Worldwide Earth Hour Movement For The Environment By Going Dark For One Hour

JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa will go dark for one hour on March 30th to shine a light on climate action in support of Earth Hour 2019. The hotel will join millions around the world in turning off its lights at 8:30 p.m. local time to illuminate a powerful message about environmental awareness and action. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) created the annual global environmental awareness event 12 years ago to emphasize the threat of climate change.

JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa will participate by hosting the Earth Hour ceremony to build environment awareness and drive real positive changes to protect our planet which activities include: turn off exterior signage lighting; dim or turn off non-essential interior lighting; use candlelight in appropriate public areas such as restaurants and bars; and invite hotel guests to gather together on the beach; watch the clip videos to raise the environment awareness; lit the candles in the symbolic of 60+ Earth Hour on Mai Khao beach. Furthermore, Earth Hour is just
more than switching off the lights, it’s a commitment to unite and protect Earth Therefore, our hotel guests and associates are encourages to implement energy-saving measures in their everyday life as the world is in our hands.

JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa will also participate in Marriott International’s drive to raise funds for WWF and posts our Earth Hour efforts on Twitter and Instagram with hashtags #MIEarthHour and #Serve360 #earthhour. Marriott International will donate US$ 3 to WWF.
