Kamalaya Koh Samui is proud to receive the Kinnari Gold Award in the Wellness Retreat category at the 13th biannual Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Awards.
Held every two years and known officially as the Thailand Tourism Awards, or The Kinnari Awards, they serve as Thailand’s ‘Hallmark of Excellence’ – a symbol of assurance in the finest achievements, outstanding quality and reliability of tourism products and services.
Princess Ubol Ratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi, as Honorary President, presided over the 13th biannual Thailand Tourism Awards 2021, which took place online as a virtual ceremony via the Facebook fan pages of Thailand Tourism Awards and Amazing Thailand.

The Thailand Tourism Awards are a benchmark of quality with the objective to raise the standard of tourism in Thailand. They play an important role in the mechanism for the sustainable development of the Thai tourism industry.
Scooping the Kinnari Gold Award follows host of international accolades in recent months. Earlier this year, Kamalaya received the 2021 TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Award which is given to hotels that consistently earn great reviews and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on TripAdvisor.
Most recently Kamalaya has won the award for Best Wellness Retreat of the Year from Destination Deluxe for the third year running, Best International Wellness Retreat by Australia’s Travel Play Live Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards 2021, and the Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards 2021 placed Kamalaya among the Top 40 Spa Resorts in the World.
These latest accolades follow on from Kamalaya’s success in 2020 when Kamalaya was revealed as Wellness Retreat of the year by Destination Deluxe.
