Join us at The Living Room on Tuesday April 30 as we celebrate “International Jazz Day” with the remarkable Sibel Köse Trio from Turkey.

In 2011, UNESCO officially designated April 30 as “International Jazz Day” in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe. “International Jazz Day” is chaired and led by UNESCO Director General, Audrey Azoulay and legendary jazz pianist and composer, Herbie Hancock.

“International Jazz Day” brings together communities, schools, artists, historians, academics, and jazz enthusiasts from all over the world to celebrate and learn about jazz and its roots, future and impact; raise awareness of the need for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding; and reinforce international cooperation and communication.

At The Living Room, we will celebrate “International Jazz Day” with a special performance by the Sibel Köse Trio. She was awarded the first prize in the “International Competition of Jazz Vocalists” in Zamosc, Poland.
