Thai Country Club, one of Asia’s best-known golfing establishments, has joined the IMG Prestige global network.
Located on the outskirts of Bangkok, Thai Country Club has been the venue for numerous high-profile tournaments and is regularly ranked among the region’s top clubs.
Owned and managed by The Peninsula Hotels, Thai Country Club was developed with the vision to be a premier golfing getaway.
“We’re extremely proud to welcome Thai Country Club to IMG Prestige. The golf course has been tested by some of the best players in the world and the club’s hospitality is one of the best in the region,” said Paul Burley, Senior Vice President, IMG Golf Course Services, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“IMG Prestige offers over 200 world class golf courses and I am sure that any member from the network who visits Thai Country Club will have an unforgettable experience,” added Burley.
“Thai Country Club is delighted and honoured to join IMG Prestige and its global network of elite golf clubs,” said John Blanch, General Manager, Thai Country Club, a Golf Course Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“It’s a fantastic membership benefit and our members are excited to be able to have the opportunity to have preferred access with special rates to some of the best courses in the world,” he added.
Always in immaculate condition, the golf course presents a good test for members and guests but can be turned into a tough challenge for professionals.
Measuring 7,204 yards from the championship tees, the course sprang to prominence in 1997 when a promising young player by the name of Tiger Woods triumphed in the Asian Honda Classic. En route to his success, Woods famously drove the green at the par-four 10th, commemorated by a plaque on the hole.
Off the course, guests enjoy fine cuisine, served by friendly and professional staff, who are committed to making the golf experience a memorable one.
