Leading Asian inbound golf tour operator Golfasian has been SHA (Safety & Health Administration) accredited by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
As Thailand is slowly preparing to re-open its borders for international golf travellers, an initiative by the TAT is providing a selected number of tour operators and DMCs who underwent stringent safety and health checks with the SHA accreditation.
“Client safety and satisfaction have always been at the forefront of our operations here at Golfasian. To be SHA accredited means that we can provide standardised Covid-19 health and safety measures to all our guests,” said Pascal Orczech, Director of Business Development at Golfasian, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
The stringent measures include frequent deep cleaning of Golfasian vans before each service, drivers wearing masks and frequent washing of hands.
“All customers will be provided with masks and free hand sanitiser upon arrival,” said Boyd Barker, General Manager at Golfasian. Barker added that temperature checks before entering the vans and before golf and sightseeing activities are now standard.
Troy Sresawat, Golfasian’s Director of Operations, said: “We are making use of QR codes for digital in-van golf guide brochures and provide touchless payment. Our drivers and the operations team are well trained on standardised safely protocols required by the Government’s strict guidelines.”
Established in 1997, Golfasian has been recognised as the leading dedicated golf tour operator in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Indonesia.
The golf tour operator specialises exclusively in golf holiday tours, for both individuals and groups as well as corporate golf events and international golf tournaments.
