“On behalf of my company, a proven leader in improving our lives for half a century, I wish to thank the Green Real Estate for allowing Gyproc to join this event. As a keynote speaker at the event, Gyproc’s Sompun Leelapunyaporn will be sharing material expertise and talking about the latest market trends, which focus on the awareness of the importance of indoor air quality and its impact on health and productivity,” said Sylvain Bredin, Managing Director of Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited.
“Research indicates that people spend approximately 90 percent of their time indoors. People often complain about health problems after extended periods of time spent indoors. Many of these issues, including headaches, nausea, reduced mental focus, eye irritation, fatigue and breathing problems, can be attributed to formaldehyde. The air we breathe indoors should be as fresh, clean and pollutant-free as that of the great outdoors. Yet impurities found in both our working and living spaces can cause health problems and a reduction in our general wellbeing. Mindful of the health problems formaldehyde can cause, Gyproc is proud to have invented and continue installing ‘Gyproc® Activ’Air’, and innovative, high-performance board designed specifically to decompose formaldehyde emissions into nonharmful inert compounds, thus eliminating the risk of re-emission. This makes the air 70% cleaner.”
Gyproc® Activ’Air Board boards consist of an aerated gypsum core with other additives encased in, and firmly bonded to, strong paperliners. The purification-enhancing board is suitable for drylining internal surfaces. Gyproc® Activ’Air Board actively improve indoor air quality by permanently removing formaldehyde circulating indoors. Incorporated during the manufacturing process, it remains active for at least 50 years. Its performance continues even after multiple renovations. This technology uses a specific component that has no effect on the environment, health or product’s recyclability. Its solutions are suitable for all types of structures and all applications: ceilings, plasterboard, partitions and plaster.
