The Tea Lounge at Capella Bangkok, the riverside’s lavish boutique retreat, unveiled its new signature high tea experience with meticulously sourced organic teas in a floral & herbal-themed afternoon tea experience. Celebrating the timeless elegance of Asian tea culture and French patisseries, it invites guests to its elegant lobby lounge on the banks of the Chao Phraya river.

For an enchanting afternoon with family, a loved one, or a group of dear friends, Capella Bangkok’s Executive Pastry Chef, Sylvain Constans, welcomes the Spring season with his new creation – a ‘Floral & Herbal’ Signature High Tea Experience with a dessert trolley brimming with dainty delicacies that showcase the season of flowers, balmy weather, and seasonal fruits.

To refresh the palate, the journey commences with a Tea & Herb Trolley with a selection of fresh herbal and floral infusions or premium black, white, green, and oolong tea varieties presented by Capella Bangkok’s Tea Connoisseur. It continues with three spring-inspired savouries, including Smoked Trout, Smoked Tomato Jelly, Lemon Balm Crème and Trot Roe; Taraba Crab and Herb Remoulade, Cucumber, Citrus on Flax Seed Water; and Prosciutto, Tuna Tartar, Chives and Cured Egg Yolk.

Handcrafted warm plain and dry strawberry scones are served next, and come with thyme-strawberry jam, apple and elderflower marmalade and house-made clotted cream. Sweet-toothed guests will then rejoice over a Dessert Trolley with six new seasonal delicacies to choose from;

  • Passion Fruit and Jasmine: Hazelnut sponge, jasmine cream and passion Chantilly
  • Sakura Delight: Lemon Madeleine sponge, cherry jelly and mousse
  • Strawberry and Basil: Roll cake sponge, basil and strawberry marmalade
  • Lemon Raspberry Tarragon: Pain de Genes, raspberry and tarragon compote
  • Pistachio and Orange Blossom: Financier sponge, pistachio, and orange blossom cream
  • Chocolate Earl Grey Tart: Chocolate sponge and Earl Grey ganache

For a truly indulgent experience, the Tea Lounge also presents Capella Bangkok’s Signature Diamant Champagne, bottled exclusively for the hotel by the Vranken Pommery house.

Nestled amidst lush gardens and calming lily ponds, the Tea Lounge is a serene place for daytime refreshments and high teas, which can be savoured whilst soaking up the ambience of the historical river.

The Capella Signature High Tea Experience is priced at THB 3,000++ for two persons, while the Capella Signature High Tea & Champagne is available for THB 2,500++ per person (subject to 17.7% vats and service charge).
