Tetra Pak teamed up with WWF Thailand, FSC™ and The Mall Group to celebrate “FSC Friday”, encouraging people to choose environmentally-sound packaging

On 28 September 2018, Tetra Pak, the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions company, together with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Thailand, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC™) and the Mall Group organised a one-day activity to celebrate the global “FSC Friday” event. The activity held at Gourmet Market @The EmQuartier was aimed to raise the awareness about the FSC label on beverage cartons and its importance for the environment protection.

The Tetra Pak logo and the FSC Label guarantee that the paper used to make the carton has been sourced from responsibly managed forests. Choosing carton packages with the FSC Label is a simple way to help preserving the environment.

This year, the FSC Friday fell on September 28. The first 200 shoppers who bought UHT beverages packed in Tetra Pak cartons with the FSC labels at Gourmet Market @The EmQuartier also received “Love the World” cloth bags as gifts from the WWF. In addition, consumers who participated in the online activity on Tetra Pak Thailand Facebook page from Sep 28-30 won 50 sets of limited-edition gifts from the partners. This initiative was a part of MongTra Campaign which Tetra Pak launched in March to urge Thai consumers to be more conscious when choosing their food and beverage packaging.

Whilst FSC Friday activity ended in September, shoppers can continue to learn more about the environmental importance of FSC label until the rest of the year from the UHT beverage shelves at all Gourmet Markets across Bangkok. This is yet another demonstration of the partners’ commitment to encouraging consumers to be more environmentally aware and to supporting sustainable practices on responsible sourcing.
